The tape cotton electroinsulating with a sticky layer is intended for isolation of wires and cables at repair and splicing of electric cables with nonmetallic covers working in a static state at a voltage to 600 V.
According to GOST 2162 insulation tape cotton is of type 1 SHOAL (one-sided normal tack for wide application).
Does not melt when the wires are heated to high temperatures.
It can withstand significant mechanical loads.
Does not lose its properties at low temperatures.
It is resistant to wear throughout its service life (at least 25 years).
